These guys have been open for 100yrs. They do the dirty work of irresponsible and careless humans. This staff of people handle everything from dropped off pets, lost and found, and cruelty cases..all non-profit. These people worked endlessly to find ways to adopt pets and educate people. All pets are spayed/neutered before they can go home. Pets are like your children. They need care and belonging not something replaced when the people they come to trust and depend on decide they have to move, have a baby, or whatever. We need more responsible laws and funding for our cities and rural counties at the state and federal level to make mandatory spay/neuter for any pets. Pet ownership should be a privelage not a whim.
