Review Details

HSNT does the most with the least. HSNT places more animals into quality homes than most other agencies in the area combined. HSNT assists with cruelty investigations across the state and in Texas that is almost like saying coast to coast.

I have been helping at this shelter for about 10 years. They do so much with so little. I wonder if a makeover for this shelter will help more people come visit and adopt, I pray so

Glad you talked about our cruelty dept. Our shelter does so much more than most.

i just wish they had a junior volunteer program, not for little kids but teenagers, like 13-17 because i know some people who would love to volunteer, but you have to be 18

I am a new volunteer to help with adoptions for Dog & Kitty City in Dalas, TX. Reading your comments help me to evaluate our shelter. I don't know if we have a cruelty dept. It is certainly needed everywhere. However we are a no kill facility with little funding. With over 250 cats and kittens and I don't know how many dogs, we are in need of more funding and a makeover that would help lesson the spread of disease and provide medical treatment for our animals. I wish you all good luck. If you win I am certain that will help your neighbor "Dallas".
HSNT really needs the make over, they cared for 20% more animals in 2007 than in 2006 without any more space, money or staff, there is so much more that could be done with more resources.
