Pros: The animals are all loved tremendously!
Cons: Just not enough homes out there to take in these deserving little animals!
I have been involved with the CCHS for about 7 months now, and as the time has passed, I have grown more and more attached to the place. I am currently the Dog Walking Shift Supervisor on Sundays from 4-6 pm and love seeing the dogs light up when we take them out for walks and exercise. As the Fall 2008 semester at NSU began, more and more volunteers started showing up. It has been great each and every week to not only get to know the dogs better, but to get to know the people better as well. Whether volunteers have a little or a lot of time to devote to the Humane Society, there are plenty of activities that could suit their needs. Not only is there walking and exercising available, but also bathing, brushing, playing with the pups, adopt-a-thons, and even fundraiser opportunities. So if you are at all interested in participating or even adopting, please come out to the place and say hello! We would be much obliged to have you in our family.
