Review Details

Jenny Beth was adopted from Texarkana Animal Shelter. She was an abused pet and was living in a foster home at the time. My dad had been by the adoption booth earlier in the day and had seen Jenny, so he called me and told me to go look at her. She had been abused by her previous "handler" because she would not hunt. The Handler would take a leather glove with tacks protruding out of it and squeeze her ears if she didn't do something correct. When I first got her she was very shy and paranoid, she also would have nothing to do with men. I brought her home and introduced her to Jackson who was a puppy at the time. She started caring for him like he was her own. I do believe that this is what made her come out of her shell! She is now the best dog I have ever had. She loves all people, including men, and absolutely adores small children. She has been a wonderful addition to my family and I hope that anyone who has a chance to rescue an animal would do so for Jenny's sake!

the texarkana animal shelter could use better employees. they abuse the animals and the girls in the office are CLUELESS. which is why this shelter needs the most help. they euthanize the animals put them in trash bags and then throw them away like garbage. THIS SHELTER NEEDS A FULL BLOWN MAKE OVER, FROM THE FACILITY ITSELF TO THE DIRECTOR AND ALL HIS MINIONS

If you have the nerve to criticize the shelter then at least have the nerve to identify yourself. You choose to remain anonymous because you have NO DESIRE to make a difference. I agree, if you felt that strongly about it then you would choose to make a difference, instead you choose to complain. Shame on you.
