I think that the St. Tammany Humane Society is truly top flight... with one infinitesimal exception. Dr. Johnston, genius vet though she may be, does seem to have a slight bias/affinity toward my L Mae and turtles in general as opposed to my Frick and Frack. I thought at one point that there was an insinuation that turtles were a superior species to the equine. But maybe I was mistaken. Frick and Frack did not take it as well as I, however. Buuuuuuut..... I still tout her reputation throughout the "Parish" and wish her well treating turtles and all creatures excepting mules.
