Pros: caring and kind
Cons: sad situalions become hopeful
Several months ago, I had to bring a yellow lab to this shelter. I had bought the puppy for my elderly mother. As the dog grew she lost total control over him. I already had three dogs and four cats and could not afford another dog. Also this lab definately needed a fenced in area. IMy heart was truly broken, but the staff was very kind to me. I paid Packer's $200 adoption fee and left. As I drove away, I knew he would be placed with an owner that would not be cruel to him. Packer was totally out of control. This was why I did not try to find him a home. I needed someone that understood this dog to place him in a good environment.

I wish everyone was a responsible as this person. Mistakes can happen. It takes a big person to admit them. It was very responsible to take the dog back to the shelter so he could be matched with a more appropriate person. Thanks for having the courage to share SRM
