C.A.R.E. or Castaway Animal Rescue Effort is a no-kill animal shelter serving southwest Missouri. All cats and dogs are spayed or neutered before they are eligible for adoption. In rare cases where an animal cannot be adopted, they are allowed to live out their lives in our sanctuary located near Aurora, Missouri on 15 peaceful acres.
Our Mission is to rescue as many cats and dogs from "death row" for which we can properly care. We also work with the U.S.D.A. and state and local law enforcement in rescues of abused and neglected animals.
