Pros: Saving lives and educating the community.
Cons: They desperately need funds for a bigger facility!!!
I was very impressed with my first visit. My son and I walked in, and the first thing I noticed is the lack of odor! We browsed through the thrift shop, then went with Trish to look at cats.
And more cats. And yet more cats. LOL! The cats had spacious rooms with lots of nooks and crannies to play in and on. The actual rooms the cats were in was the only place I noticed any odor at all, but what can you expect? There were litter boxes in there!
The rooms were clean and well-maintained and the cats happy, healthy and friendly. We'd just planned on picking out one house cat for our son's home, but ended up with two for him and two for me! =) We chose Mr. Tuffit, Ivy, KK and---aack! Old age mind block...I can't think of her name, but our son knows it...a pretty gray and white spayed female.
I couldn't believe how inexpensive the adoption fees were for neutered/spayed cats! Far less than what a vet charges. =) Everything was also handled very professionally, with meticulous paperwork and even cool 'starter kits' with each cat.
These folks truly care about the animals and I do hope the community will rise up in great numbers and support them!

Thank you, April. The volunteers at the shelter do work very hard trying their best to help the animals and keep the place clean. After they get done at the shelter, they have to go home and tend to their families and pets. Their days dont stop when they leave the shelter. Sure, the shelter is open until 4:30 pm on weekdays, but that doesnt mean that the volunteers leave at that time. Sometimes they are there until 5:30 pm or later. I applaude all the volunteers for a job well done!!!!
Thanks to all the volunteers who put in their time. This is not a job to them but a way of life. They always put the animals first and do what is best for them. If you arent enough of an adult to put your name behind something then do not critcize others for doing the best they can for animals that have so little
ya well wpras is doing reviews on other shelters in hopes of getting the 5 point yes click, but then ranks all those shelters from 1-3,usually 2!that is crappy.and there are no points for giving a high or low rank!so she could be giving them all 5!go look at the shelter reviews under WPRAS,and look,if you don't believe me!she is mean and ignorant!
