Review Details

It is safe to say that practically every shelter entered in this contest is backed by people dedicated to animal welfare. The WPRAS is one that has accomplished the most in proportion to its limited resources and community support. I am a regular volunteer also for a different and larger shelter some distance from the WPRAS. It too is highly deserving, but the WPRAS is the shelter that does the most with the least, and also the one with the greatest needs.

I Agree 150 % what you are saying. I hope and pray that the WPRAS will be in the top 20 for this makeover. Go WPRAS we are with you all.
I also agree 150% on what you are saying. If any shelter needs the makeover the most, it is WPRAS!! They do not get any help from the city or state...The money that comes in there, comes from people bringing in donations to sell in the Thrift Shop. Others send checks, help pay the vet bill, etc. Everyone that is there, are volunteers. WPRAS needs help..people want to take their unwanted animals there, but nobody wants to help out. Thats what they are there for is to help out with the animals, but lot of you get mad because they ask for an intake fee. They can only take in so many animals. As it has been repeated before about the intake fee, the intake fee goes toward the cats & dogs being fixed to stop the over population of so many unwanted animals, goes towards them getting vaccinated, and other medical bills if it arises that the animal needs to be seen by a vet. Go to a vet and see if you can get a cat or dog fixed for the same price, with shots etc.. that they are adopting an animal out for.... YOU CANT!! I am very proud of all of the volunteers at the shelter.KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!

It cost me 180 to get my dog fixed.I don't ask for handouts and do not get discounts either!I have to really go to a job to make money to pay for vets and food.I do not sit around asking others for money.Sick.
Then it stands to reason that this shelter would do the most with a makeover. The results would reach far and wide.

The results would reach far and wide???That shelter had been given $30,000 anonymously years back! What did they do with it!?They have recieved $6,000,too,from a will......where did that money go!?!?Sorry, but they didn't put that 30 grand to good use,why would they do any better with zootoo money?
