CatNap from the Heart is a nonprofit shelter located in LaGrange Park IL. It is approximately 2400 square feet. We specialize in the adoption of cats, kittens, birds and small mammals. We are a no-kill shelter. We hope to grow in size as time goes by. We have only been a nonprofit shelter since 2002 but have existed for 10 years. Our mission is to control the cat population in our area, which has been increasing rather than decreasing despite the fact that we spay and neuter all cats and kittens prior to adoption. All of our cats are tested negative for feline aids and feline leukemia, are microchipped and up to date on all shots.
We hope to use Zoo Too funding to add a spay and neuter area in our shelter and to update other parts of the shelter. We need a better isolation room for incoming animals and the kitchen and bathroom could use updating. Also general remodeling to keep the shelter healthy.
