Review Details
We adopted our dog Louie from this humane society when he was only 6 weeks old. He was part of an unwanted litter. The puppies originally came from Indiana then went through Illinois, Wisconsin, and finally ending up in Minnesota. He was healthy and well cared for, but of course he was a baby and everyone dotes on the puppies. I actually wanted an older more mature dog since they are harder to place but my kids fell for Louie. He was neutered and micro chipped by the Humane Society veterinarians and our own vet at Woodlake said that this humane society was a fairly decent facility. They also offer obedience training along with other various courses and activities. We placed Louie in the puppy socialization class and found three of his siblings in class with us which was wonderful.
The public areas that we could see were clean and well maintained. I believe that rescuing a dog from a shelter is preferable to purchasing from a breeder. Louie is a wonderful dog and I would recommend this humane society to anyone looking for a pet.
