The mission of the Dubuque Regional Humane Society is to promote the human-animal bond and the humane treatment of all animals. We are an open-admission facility serving the Tri-state area. We take in over 5,000 animals a year. Our services to our community include: placing over 2,000 animals per year in loving homes, returning over 400 animals to their owners per year (not including animals found via our lost and found lists), investigating cruelty and neglect cases in the area, promoting spaying and neutering, reaching the public with fun, educational programs, offering dog and puppy classes, and much more! In 2001 the Dubuque Regional Humane Society celebrated 100 years of reaching out to residents of the tri-state community (Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin) appealing to their sense of compassion, while serving as an advocate for the humane treatment of animals.
