Supporting Shelter: The Almost Home Humane Society

Pros: staff members and their love for animals

Cons: old gloomy building

i used to visit this shelter almost every week possible!! now that i dont live in lafayette anymore i have realized how much i miss this place... i have been to many shelters before but i have to say this shelter is by far the number one on my list!
friendly and helpful staff members on site, and you can tell they love animals! no one is working there for the money, they are there because they love animals and want to help them find a wonderful place called home.
many people do not know that this shelter is not funded by the government and wonders or complaints why how old it is, its dirty or other things you can imagine. i just want people to know that the staff are doing the very best they can do. yes it is old but let me tell ya, they clean the place EVERYDAY! may look dirty but its mostly the oldness that makes it seem dirty.
AHHS staff members and the animals really deserves and needs the make over.
