This shelter needs plenty of help. I just moved to this area and I am volunteering at this shelter. When I lived in Ann Arbor, I volunteered at the shelters there, but they are fine compared to AHHS. They recently had to switch over to taking only stray animals because they were overwhelmed. They are one of just a handful of shelters in this area, and could definitely use a makeover. They have an enormous amount of cats and plenty of stray dogs. Its just that sometimes the turnover rate on animals brought in isn't quick enough, so they are in need of help right now.
