Supporting Shelter: Indiana Horse Rescue

Pros: Dedicated people who love these horses and save so many that are starving, abused, neglected. You know when you donate to this rescue that every dime goes directly to taking care of these horses.

Cons: I wish it was closer to where I live, but I do go once a month to donate supplies.

This is one special rescue. They took on a horrible case of neglect and cruelty with these horses in Owensville. I was there the day they rescued approximately 100 horses and it is amazing what they have done at this property since May of this year. The biggest improvement is the condition of the horses. They have some really nice horses available for adoption. With the limited money they have, they have cleaned up the inside of the barn where these horses were living in a nightmare, cleaned up junk in the pastures that so many horses had terrible injuries from and have also improved the quality of life for these horses with medications, food, grooming, hoof care, training, and TLC and patience to gain their trust.
