Really care about the animals
Pros: personalized care for animals, animals very accesible for visitors to meet them
Cons: when it is busy the phone lines can get neglected so come in to see the animals!

I volunteer as an adoption councilor at this shelter. Since I began volunteering I have been really impressed at how well the shelter staff tries to take into account the animals' needs.
The shelter encourages people to come in and meet and greet all the animals, and to bring their whole family (including other dogs) in to meet animals they are planning to adopt.
It is a great place to volunteer - they are very flexible about schedules and encourage us to interact with the animals as much as possible. The staff and other volunteers are all great.
