Review Details
This is an excellent organization. They have high placements rates, and euthanasia is used only as a last resort. We recently adopted a beautiful, sweet dog, and we were pleased with the support of the staff. We were invited to bring the kids and our existing dog to make sure our new family member would not be overwhelmed by our noisy, active family. I just wish I could do more to help the other animals who need "forever homes."
The only drawback is that we were there on a busy Saturday. We waited a very long time to be helped, but I reminded myself that it was good for the animals that so many people were there looking to adopt. Much of the work is done by volunteers. So if you choose to go on one of the busiest days of the week, expect to dig deep for patience and remember that the priority is the animals.
