Review Details

Wouldn't it be an excellent idea if everyone that is supporting HSOV would donate $5.00 to a fund earmarked specifically for building renovations?

And then...all you smokers out there...you can pay (what is it now $4.00 a pack?) a pack of smokes to the shelter for immunizations etc.

Those 'soda pop' addicts (like myself) can donate the cost of a 12 pack of soda.

Anyone willing to take the challenge? Btw...I work at a credit union and would be willing to set up an account to put the building renovations in (would require two HSOV board signatures to withdraw all money if the board would approve this...or maybe they already have a building fund we could donate directly to?)

Board members...let us know!!!

I haven't heard from any board members if they'd like to do something like this...let me know. Or better yet, if you have a building renovation fund set up post it on ZooToo let people know about it!
Hi Lori,
I just found your suggestion on the donation fund. I started a discussion thread on the HSOV ZooToo forum at (www.zootoo.com), I saw that you joined the group so perhaps you've seen the discussion thread?

Anyhow, a group of HSOV supporters from ZooToo and the local area are going to meet soon to discuss having a celebration event this Spring, at a minimum for the HSOV staff, volunteers, and ZooToo supporters, with the possibility of turning it into a public event for fund raising. I've suggested an initial meeting at the Harmar Tavern next Tuesday (4/8) at 7PM, but that's up in the air depending on whether or not we have good participation.

Myself and a couple others believe this could be a start to a long-term effort to benefit the shelter. I think a slow start would help settle things a bit. Anyhow, if you're interested, please send me your email address and I'll include you in the discussion.
Thanks!
John
