Additional Information

Interesting facts about The League for Animal Welfare:

*The League for Animal Welfare is a no-kill non-profit animal shelter that has been around since 1949.

*We receive absolutely no government support and run our shelter through kind donations along with membership dues, bequests, contributions and fundraisers.

*Except for a small paid staff, all efforts are carried out by volunteers.

*We at the League for Animal Wefare dedicate ourselves to bettering the lives of Greater Cincinnati Companion animals by providing shelter, adoption, spay/neuter programs, and public education.

*While animals are here waiting to be adopted we provide food, shelter and a very loving environment.

*All of the animals we adopt out are given any necessary vaccinations before going home (this includes heartworm testing for dogs and feline leukemia and FIV testing for cats) and all are spayed or neutered.

*We have placed approximately 700 dogs and cats in loving homes each year and we have seen an increase in adoptions this past year!
