Review Details

I have volunteered at this shelter for several years. I also foster cats since they seldom have the space required for all of them. Words just aren't there to express the devotion and love the staff have for these animals. I am amazed on every visit at what I see accomplished at this shelter. Oftentimes, I just stand back and watch the staff work their miracles. Since there is very limited space and funds available to run this shelter, money has to be made with fundraising and the Director sure does come up with some very unique ideas. The dogs are housed in a tiny cement block building stacked 2 deep with pens and the cats are in a trailer stacked three deep. With no more money than the county allows this shelter, it is unbelieveable what they accomplish. Since the shelter is in such a rural farming county, it just doesn't get the help it needs. For the first time in my life, I believe I have found a group of people that are as dedicated to saving all the helpless animals.
