Supporting Shelter: Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society

Supporting Rescue: RePets Animal Rescue & Adoption Center

Pros: Will accept out of county animals, goes the extra mile to help.

Cons: I can't think of one!

This shelter has some of the greatest people I have ever met in my life. I live in another county where our "shelter" is substandard. The conditions are horrible and our city doesn't doesn't seem to care. I do a lot of rescue work in my county and if I can't find a home for one of the strays, I always know that I can bring the animal to them and they will make sure a good home is found. They update you when you call and always answer your questions.

I love all of these people and honor them for the hard job they face everyday.

I am in complete agreement with you. Our county doesn't have an animal shelter and doesn't seem to care that they don't. It is so sad, all the unwanted animals that are left to starve by the side of the road. It seems no one wants to step up to the plate and do what is right. However, we then have shelters like BGWCHS, with caring staff who cannot be thanked enough for all that they do. And I know a lot of the staff are volunteers who spend most of their free time at the shelter working.
Thank God for BGWCHS, the staff and all that they do to help our innocent furry friends!!

My "angel Beagle" Katy was adopted from BGHS almost three years ago when she was just 6 wks old. One of the volunteers Angie took her home because she was afraid she might be euthanized as she was the last one of a litter that wasn't being adopted. I saw a picture of her and even tho I waited a full night to make up my mind, I brought her home to my other Beagle and it was love at first sight! I can't say enough about Warren County's no kill facility. You must see other counties and other states shelters in order to know what I mean when I say "Best Facility In The State". So Clean, well cared for and it is operated to perfection. Thank Goodness Bowling Green is so much behind this shelter. I have seen other shelters in other states and it breaks my heart. Thank you Lori for your dedication.
