I love this Shelter!
Pros: They are very knowledgeble.
Cons: The need more space so they can save even more animals.

Review Details
Everyone at the shelter really cares about the animals. They work very hard to save as many animals as they can. They volunteer so much of their time in addition to the time they spend on the clock.

Are you talking about the Humane Society of Ventura County? Our adoption fee is $95 and includes spay/neuter, shots, collar, leash, deworming, bath & haircut if necessary, microchip & ID tag. We have wonderful volunteers to walk the dogs, help with socialization, etc. We even have "Sunday" volunteers that come and make sure every dog is walked when the shelter is closed. They are also put into the play yards everyday for exercise. We have a small staff that does an incredible job. I have never seen a more hardworking group of people. Yes, there are concrete floors and the kennel needs to be updated, but the dogs are given clean bedding to sleep on everyday. They are not sleeping directly on concrete. This is why we so desperate for a makeover. We receive no government funding and depend only on donations.
