Pros: The staff is very friendly, and the animals are very nice and well taken care of.

Cons: Its not the cleanest shelter in the US but i'm very pleased with what i saw today.Also, its a bit small, but i cant blame them for that.

I was very pleased with what i saw when i went in to sign up as a volunteer today. The staff are very friendly, the animals are very well taken care of, and theyre doing a great job! The only cons about it was that its not the cleanest shelter in the U.S., but thats not a big worry.Another small deal is that its kinda small... but thats what they need to win this $1,000,000 grant for!

The Elmore Humane Society really needs to win the makover. Its a great place, with great staff and volunteers (lol i am one), its moderately clean, and the animals are in great care. The only cons about it is that with an average of 5000 animals going through there each year, at times it can seem a bit to small. Thats why it needs to win... to update the facilities and get a new coat of paint, a good cleaning, among some others. Overall, it a great shelter, and anyone in the general area should go there. Last time i volunteered, there were plenty of playful,caring dogs and cats waiting for a home... :)
