Review Details

The Tallahassee Leon Community Animal Service Center is an excellent shelter with a wonderful veterinarian, Dr. Rachel Reeves, and caring vet techs and staff. Stephanie Sikorski, TLASC Humane Educator, is one of the most dedicated people I've ever seen at a public animal shelter. Thanks to an excellent foster program, the shelter does the best it can to help place pets that require attention (ill, underweight, too young) in caring homes until they can be adopted. They have many other innovative programs including Undergoing Training & Obedience in Prison to Increase Adoptability (UTOPIA). The shelter staff truly care about their mission, despite the daily stress of an overcrowded facility.
