Pros: knowledge of the animals, outside area to interact with animals
Cons: seem too eager to adopt out, without much info about the adopters.
On two separate ocassions, I have had to bring stray dogs to the shelter (after keeping for a few weeks and trying to find owners or some one to adopt them, I already have 3 dogs which were strays). One time, the person was very kind and understanding. Another time, the person gave the sense that I was inconvencing her, and was rather cold to both me and the dog. As this was already a sad time for both the dog and I, that made it worse. But, I know that there are very caring people who work with the shelter (Friends of Pitt Co. Shelter), and they work very hard to care for the dogs , find foster placements, and adopt out into loving homes.
