This shelter is wonderful. They care about the animals and the staff is so helpful and pleasant. The staff will go out of their way to treat an injured animal and will take the animal home and care for it during treatment.

Michelle Rudd is by far the most caring humane society director I have ever encountered. She loves each and every pet that comes into the Parkersburg Humane Society as if they were her children. People don't realize everything that goes into her job as well as the rest of the staff. A lot of stress, frustration, but also a lot of fun and excitement when a connection is made between human and pet. They are the best!
