when i went there to volunteer , i even made a appointement and they were so rude and told me to go away because they were to busy to let me help, there is one women who is the most unfriendly thing that i have ever seen. She didnt smile and she moaned every time i asked her a question. I will never go there again. it makes me sick to see that these are the kind of people that pet owners trust there animals with. i will never ever do anything for them again.

I am the volunteer coordinator for HSOP and there certainly must have been some misunderstanding. We DO NOT EVER set up appointments for people to come to volunteer. In order to volunteer you must fill out a volunteer application. You are then notified of our orientation. Once you have completed the training and orientation then you can start volunteering at our shelter. I would also like to say that our staff is very dedicated to our animals. The reason that they are working there is because of the animals.
