Review Details
I first began visiting the Cecil County SPCA several years ago when they had Bubba, the huge pig, and his goat pals, Billy and Heidi. I heard the wonderful story of how the SPCA rescued Bubba when he was just a 135 pound piggie who fell off the back of a truck, no doubt headed off to "market," and was injured.
The SPCA cared for him for many years, until he was probably about 900 pounds! He lived in their nice barn and had a lovely outdoor fenced pen where he loved to greet visiting school children. They eventually found him a forever home on a farm where he still lives, along with some "lady" pigs he likes to flirt with.
I figure any place that extends such love and care to a HUGE pig, as well as all the dogs and cats, deserves my support and the support of the Cecil County community.
