Review Details
Due to previous misguidance, Francisvale had to go into total revamp. Now with an excellent staff, board, volunteers, and trainers they are on the right track! The new direction is totally great for everyone most of all the animals. The animals are all healthy, eat high value food, the dogs are walked daily and take turns having play time in the runs. The cats have full run of their areas daily and along with the staff and volunteers that come to socialize the cats, get all the love and nurturing they need and want. I feel Francisvale is a wonderful place and their might be a lot of new and interesting things going on their but, its all for the good and wellbeing of the wonderful animals that call Francisvale home until that right person comes along to adopt them!!!

I worked at Francisvale up until May 08. My time there was exhausting but, mostly beneficial. I had some of the best friends working there(the furry kind!) The whole time I was there their was turmoil with past employees and board members which I still can't understand. They all blame it on the new shelter director, Grace, but they still continued to take it out on the new staff, volunteers, and most of all the animals. Then they come on here and bash Francisvale for what you might ask>>>??? I ask myself the same question. They ramble on and on how dirty, mislead, and disgusting the shelter is but, in the same sentence try to say their doing everything for the animals! I would think if you really love animals including the ones at Francisvale you wouldn't bash where they live is all. Like I said I used to work there and I left to go back to school and be able to spend more time with my family not because of Grace, the board, or anyone else there. I miss it there more than you know and I just think all the hostility is directed completely wrong. I don't know what happened before I started volunteering(yes I started as a volunteer!) and I don't care! All I know is the place is clean adoption rates are excessive and all the animals are fed properly and taken care of in all aspects. Its funny how their is blog after blog about the adoption procedures too. I don't feel its too much its just extra careful and almost full proof that the animal will stay in its forever home and not be returned! The whole time I was employed there we must have gotten 4-5 dogs that were returned that were adopted out by the previous staff! What did the staff and Grace do??? Welcomed that poor animal back(unfortunately) regrouped and began the search for the RIGHT FURREVER HOME!! So before you put down people you don't even know, a place you no longer know, and animals you no longer or never knew, look in the mirror and ask yourself ... is it worth it? Who am I really hurting?? Then tell yourself, I am a real ass aren't I??????
