Cons: not enough funds for everything they want to do
I have adopted 5 of the 6 dogs and 1 cat that have been a part of my family from Dessin Animal Shelter.
There have been many improvements over the years. They are very helpful in placing the pet in the correct family situation.
They go through a process of evaluation with each animal that comes through their doors.
I also think it is a very good idea that each animal is spayed or neutered before being adopted.
The staff gives you suggestions on the training and care of your adopted pet.
They also inform you of any programs or events that are going on in your community that will effect you and your pet.
It is especially important to have Marlene, Dessin's Humane Society Police Officer to investigate animal abuse and bring justice to the animals.
Honesdale should be very grateful to have Dessin Animal Shelter.
