I would absolutely recommend Angel Acres!! Jo Deible is fabulous to work with and has a lot of knowledge! She will take the time to talk to you, give you information that you need and much more.
If you are looking for a horse to adopt this is the place to go. The amount of care and time that she dedicates to these horses are unbelievable! Help save these horses that are in need of a home! Read up on what these killers do and why! learn about the gorgeous race horses that are sent to kill pens because they are no longer fast enough to make the owner money, or the private owner who allows their animal/s to starve to death and are in need of food and care. Jo Deible and Angel Acres are a non-profit organization and depends on donations and sponsors. Not every horse can be saved but you can make a difference!

Jo & Patty are wonderful people to work with! I am hoping to adopt a horse from Jo in about 4 weeks. The person care she has put into these horses are nothing less than outstanding. Jo has taken her person time to help these horses from early morning hours and works all day, She has taken her person time to personally talk to me and meet with me giving me more and more information about her shelter and about each horse and is trying to find the perfect match for my family and I. These horses that I have personally seen are so well nurtured for. Jo deserves a lot of recognition for her efferts to save these horses and find them new loving homes.
I would love to see Angel Acres win the shelter makeover because I would love to see them grow into an even bigger facility and to have much more needed room for these wonderful animals.
