Pros: knowledgable, clean, great customer service
Cons: they are just soo overcrowded, but its not their fault
This is an awesome shelter! Unfortunately, due to certain conditions they are just soo overcrowded. They also had to shut down the West Shore location due to lack of funds from the state and community. Let's lend a hand to them and show some support!!

Caitlinm is one of the many great people that really cares about and helps the HSHA animals. I agree with her that the front desk staff I have come in contact with are great. The Sunday staff there goes above and beyond and spends most of their day cleaning cat cages. One of the girls knows every cat and where he or she is located and also adopted a very sweet, special needs kitten. Caitlin -- you ROCK TOO !
Caitlinm is a great example of the hard working staff there. She works the front desk, does adoption counseling and knows all the cats by name and can tell you where they all are. I also see her cleaning cages and mopping floors when they aren't open to the public. You can tell by her postings on this website how much she cares about this shelter and all animals.
