Pros: A Progressive and Caring Shelter

Cons: None!

As an employee at HSHA, I am proud of what we are doing for the animals in our care and our community. Some of our initiatives and programs are very unique and progressive and I'm honored to be a part of it!

I agree, Kelly! The fact that you all have committed to NOT euthanizing any pet due to space constraints is very admirable, especially as staff have given up space to accomodate more animals, as needed. This prize would be well-spent on a regional shelter!!!

I totally agree with David R...HSHA deserves the makeover more than any shelter I know of!!!!

I totally agree. I have not been able to set foot in the HSHA due to being very sad knowing if these animals do not find homes, what the long term is for them. Now with euthanizing not the quickest option and takes a lot longer, I may be able to actually come in, instead of always just sending money and fundraising.......
