I visited this shelter on a monthly basis two years ago when I worked an internship at the Altoona Curve. The facility was clean and spacious, with plenty of grassy areas to take the dogs out for walk/play. The staff was extremely accomodating as well. Please stop by, at least for a few moments. You may end up leaving with a life long friend.

There is plenty of grassy areas that are fenced in for you to play with the dogs. Take a ball with you to play some fetch.
