Review Details

About a year ago, someone dropped off a kitten in our laundry facility at the apartment complex I live in. Whoever it was put the poor kitten in one of the driers. Luckily, we found him and rescued him. He was in such bad shape it just broke my heart- severely anemic, nothing but skin and bones, covered w/ fleas, bone spurs in his mouth- yet when you touched him, he started to purr. We already had the limit we could for pets, but knew this poor little guy needed help- lots. We had no choice but to take him to the WAHS. When I went in, one of the ladies behind the counter started to say, "We can't...." and looked at my tearfilled eyes and said "bring him over".. They looked at the kitten, rushed him to the vet and asked me a few questions. They were so amazing. not only were they worried about the little kitten, but when I explained I already had two and couldn't take him in, they made sure my other two did not have direct contact w/ the kitten, and made me feel so much better about the whole situation. I can only hope that the little guy is doing well somewhere in an amazing home and thank the WAHS for being there when not only I needed them, but a poor little kitten needed them badly. This place deserves the shelter makeover and so much more.
