Great job but stop with the points!

Pros: tons of support

Cons: making it harder for the rest of us

you are so far out in the lead that it doesn't matter! just stay in the top 20 and you'll be in the same situation anyway! we just want to get to the top 20!

I understand what you are saying about all the points we are getting and I stopped adding to the points awhile ago myself. Just let me tell you why we are still getting points; we are trying very hard to make the public aware of our little shelter, believe it or not so many people right around the corner will say "where are you located". Until zootoo we tried all different venues to get people to notice us and help us; we get nothing from the state, county or local communities. We operate on what people donate for food and what donation they give of money. We hold a lot of fund raisers and we have a volunteer who has been writing grants for us which has helped a lot. We are not trying to get more points on purpose people are just becoming aware of us; actually we asked people to give points to another local shelter in our area The Western Pa Humane Society and I gave them a lot of helpful vote points last week. So that is our story and hopefully you will hear a lot more about us when zootoo decides who get what. I hope you are included in the winnings and that it helps your shelter get the attention you need also. We all need things, every single shelter that has registered is probably in need of help; I wish they could help all of them.
Thanks for listening.

The thing is, it doesn't really matter how many points Wash Area Hum Society gets in terms of other shelters getting in the top 20. Points for this shelter doesn't take away points for the one you support. Good luck to your shelter getting into the top 20. I wish every shelter could get a million $ makeover really. This may be a "competition", but whatever helps animals and the animal rescue efforts is a huge step forward

Keep on trucking - you obviously are doing something right and I wish your shelter the best as all the top 20(mine included - Cat Welfare).. Anyone that is helping animals and is no-kill is great in my books as long as they are doing things right.
Goes to show you what detication these people have for thier shelter in order to be #1.they are not taking points awat from any shelter every shelter that entered this contest has the same chance of spreading the word and helping out there shelter. Some just spread the word better than others .It does not give you the right to say how the shelter should stop getting points.Kudos to WAHS for the great job you did in becoming #1.

I thought these were supposed to be reviews of the facilities! Is it fair that someone from Colorado, or any distant state, is giving bad reviews to a place in Pennsylvania that they have never visited? I don't think more votes for the place in PA means less votes for the place in CO. Aren't most people are supporting the places near them? I personally sent out a dozen invitations last week for friends to join ZooToo for this contest. None of them are anywhere near Colorado.
