I've been coming to this shelter since I was little. We also just adopted one of my dogs from there and she's one of the best dogs we've ever had! They're very nice people and the dogs are just as sweet. Though this shelter is a little far away from any major towns it's very worth the drive. The are also very organized when it comes to the fundraisers and how the shelter flows. I go there every sunday and it always cheers me up to see my good friends (and I'm not just talking about the people!). I love this shelter very much and all in all; it's the best shelter around.

I agree that we're a great shelter, but we need support for sure. Which dog did you adopt recently? I walk dogs at least once a week so I'd be interested to know which one of our shelter sweethearts went home with you

Yes, the humane society up here really is great and like you said, they do need support. I've never personally gotten a cutiepie from them, but, I have been there and helped.
It is so wonderful that you are able to volunteer at the Washington Area Humane Society. Thanks for caring so much. I agree with your comment that the shelter is too small. They could really benefit from a shelter makeover. We can hope... Thanks for all you do as a volunteer.

Thank you so much for continuing to come to our shelter. Isn't it a nice place to spend time. It is a little depressing at times because of the facility, but we do with what we have. Kiss your new dog for me.
