Review Details
The Western PA Humane Society is a fantastic open-door shelter concerned with not only adopting out homeless pets but also making sure that they stay in their new homes as good citizens! Not only can you find your new best friend at this shelter but obedience training classes are included for dogs under 12 months and can be added to any adoption at a reduced rate.
I'm priveledged to be associated with this organization and working with all of the Obedience Training instructors. Classes are open to the general public at very competitive rates. We offer a variety of basic level classes, as well as continuing advanced classes all the way through Canine Good Citizen/Therapy Dog International preparatory courses. The CGC/TDI exam is offerred 3 or 4 times a year at the shelter. We even offer a community based opportunity for dogs that hold their CGC/TDI license to practice with a seasoned instructor at one of our local Universities.
In addition special classes are available for dogs who have completed a basic level class but would like to practice their skills in a more fun and competitive environment.
Available classes are listed on the website at
