Supporting Shelter: Cat Welfare Association

Supporting Rescue: Cat Welfare

Pros: Great place; enlightened philosophy

Cons: nothing

I was very lucky to be a student at Cornell in Ithaca, which has a great Vet School. Tompkins County has an SPCA which has been a pioneer in no-kill policies in the USA.

Not only is it a delightul place, but it is filled with hope and with a sense of the value of animals and the life-affirming values of saving animals and finding a great home for them.

I suspect that amongst their challenges is the fact that many students at Cornell and Ithaca College are unable to adopt pets because of their transient lives.

My hat is off to this grade A+ innovative and visionary shelter.
