I visited the shelter last week with a friend who was looking to adopt a kitten. The staff was friendly and we were able to spend time with the available kittens to select the one that she wanted. She picked a little sweetie that was the last of his litter, it's good to know he has a good home now. For the adoption fee ($50 I think) the kitten has all it's shots and is already neutered, you really can't go wrong there. We did have to pay an extra $5 for a cardboard carrier to take him home, but it was well worth the money, he was a squirmy little fella. You could save the $5 by bringing your own carrier.
The whole process was quick and painless, I'd certainly recommend this shelter to anyone. There are still lots of pets, especially older cats and dogs waiting for a nice warm home this Christmas, stop down and see which one is right for you.
