Pros: Everyone puts the animals first.
Cons: It needs more space.
Little Shelter is one of Long Island's hidden treasures. The people who work and volunteer at the shelter have only the best interest of the dogs and cats at heart. To the people there, every life is precious. The shelter has rescued animals who have only days to live because no dog or cat should have to die alone without the support of loved ones. There is no dog or cat who is too old or sick or unsociable to be part of Little Shelter's family. The goal is to place all dogs in cats into loving homes. If this dream cannot be realized, dogs and cats live out their lives at the Little Shelter sanctuary where a caretaker makes sure that all residents have the comforts of home.
Everyone should visit Little Shelter and see what a remarkable place it is.

I feel the same way you do about The Little Shelter. Voluteering and Fostering has enlighten me on what these animals go thru. The staff at TheLittle Shelterplace the animals as top priority even though there are times that they may not have enough supplies , room, helpers etc. They do their best to keep the animals as comfortable as possible.
