Pros: well kept animals, clean, caring staff, a beautiful selection of family pets
Cons: building is in poor condition, small parking lot, not enough funding
The first time I walked through the doors of this shelter I was impressed and it has only gotten better. The animals are well taken care of and well socialized. This is due to the staff and the volunteers who are always courteous even when in the midst of a busy day. The cats have large pens with furniture, cat trees and beds to sleep on. The dogs have raised beds and comforters. They have a nice big yard for the dogs to exercise in and volunteers who come to walk them on a regular basis. All the animals look well cared for. The staff does their best to fit the animals personality to the potential new owner. The building itself looks badly in need of repair but is improving on a monthly basis. I can't wait to see how this shelter progresses. It is a diamond in the rough.
