It is very fun voulenteering at the Old Bridge Animal Shelter. You can meet so many new and fun people. I really wish we win because we are one of the smallest places in NJ. We can have less then 12 dogs at a time and we are over stocked with cats! Not the cleanest in the world, but thats because were so small.

Wonderful. But the shelter is as clean as it can be for a shelter that has animals! Animal are allways making a mess and it does not matter where you go unless they have no animals, there will allways be some sort of a mess (that has allready been cleaned) when you have animals involved. Its like having todlers all the time......you clean and clean but no matter how much you do there is allways someone pooping in the corner or flipping their food over. So yeah depending on when you go to visit any shelter you have to expect that there will be a bit of smell or someone pooping, its not like a pet at home where you only have one or 2 and you have them trained to go in and out. You have to keep in mind that the shelter animals are dumped for one reason or another and the poor staff that has to deal with it and all the people commming and going as well. Danny you are a wonderful asset to your shelter and you work so hard to help out, everything from cleaning litter pans to assisting in medical work. You are GREAT! Thank you for all you do!
