The saying you can't judge a book by its cover applies to the Voorhees Animal Orphanage. It is an older faciltiy that needs some tlc, but it is the people who make the AO what it is. The staff care deeply about the animals and the people who want to adopt them (they sure aren't working there for the money) and the volunteers are AMAZING. They give of their time, money and themselves. AO hosts many special events - Woofstock, Animal Adoption Events, Waggin Walk, Auction fundraiser, and the list goes on. And they do it all for the animals.
