Pros: Gives back to the community
Cons: Not enough space
I know I"m a little bias because I work at LHS but I have to say there is no other place like LHS. We are doing so much in such a small space. Our building was never meant to be an animal shelter. It's a converted municipal garage. I can't even begin to imagine what we could do with a million dollars. I love that LHS gives back to the community - free food for people that can't afford to feed their pets, low cost spay/neuter, Trap, Neuter, Release. These are all things many other shelters don't offer. We could do so much more if we win this contest! I'm proud to say I'm an employee of LHS!

We have great staff and volunteers which makes all the difference. It would be great if we won and could expand and improve the facilities. We really need this win!
