Review Details

I have been a volunteer at Tara Farm for over two years. I started after my daughter went to school full-time and I really wanted to do something that I enjoyed. My daughter and I had been taking horseback riding lessons and LOVED being around these beautiful four-legged beauties even if it was just to groom or just cleaning stalls. I visited Tara Farm's website and seen that there was a need for grooming, filling water buckets, and yes cleaning stalls. One of my girlfriends said to me, "wouldn't you rather be at the gym or the mall", my answer was.....................well I get a free workout at Tara Farm and I'd rather be at the stalls then at the mall. My husband laughs because if I have to miss a week of not going, I almost feel depressed so I guess it's also free therapy for me. Try volunteering, I only am able to volunteer once a week but even if you can only do once a month any help you give is a tremendous help to these equines.
