My daughter, Bobbie, started there as part of her schooling in the Vo-Ag program at Rockville High - she loved it - She was given an opputunity to learn riding and we won't even talk of the esteem booster it was for her. She misses the farm as the responsibilities of adult life have her busy working regular jobs and taking college courses at night - but eventually she'll be back out there.
Now daughter, Sarah, is taking lessons and helping with the farm twice a week - she's 11 1/2 and getting ready for Rockville High's Vo-Ag program. Where else can she get the expierence she's going to need !
Sarah has also joined the 4-H group they have there. Since she lives and breathes horses - I guess it was to be expected.
Bonnie Jean's been great with the kids as well as her animals.
My personal favorite is Timmy - a 30 year old horse with a bad hip like mine. I get the biggest kick out of grooming him and giving him treats.
Dante, the young pony is a freshy and will shyly at first come up to me, then get brave and move in to get a little attention and carrotts too.
