PALS Cares About Kitties
Pros: Caring Staff, Clean and Comfortable Living Quarters, Happy Cats, Great Medical Care, and best of all...this is a NO-KILL CAT SHELTER!
Cons: PALS can use more donations for the animals. If they had more space, they could have a room for FIV Positive Cats

Review Details
PALS is an awesome cat shelter. I first learned about PALS when I had a wonderful, loving, beautiful fluffy black cat hanging around my house in the freezing cold winter. Somehow the cat survived, although it stayed outside for a couple of months, living under our deck and in our neighbor's garage (I think). When I went outside it would run away, so I assumed it was feral. One sunny day, I took the time to sit on the deck and urged the cat out of hiding with food. From that time on, the cat was the most loving cat I had come across. Beautiful, too. I took it to the vet and found it was FIV positive and I couldn't keep it with my four other cats. I was devastated and called a friend of mine who had cats. She referred me to Jean Gallant, a wonderful animal-lover friend of her's...who is now also my friend! She was and still is involved with PALS. Although PALS couldn't take the cat because they cannot take in FIV positive cats, they referred me to SAVE-OUR-STRAYS in Fairfield...another wonderful cat/dog organization. Within a few days, they had found a home for my wonderful "Salem." !! I was thrilled! Thank you PALS, for helping me to find SAVE=OUR-STRAYS, and thank you to SAVE-OUR-STRAYS for saving this dear cat's life!
Please visit PALS and see the kitties and the wonderful conditions they are being kept in.
