Wonderful Place , beautiful facility, caring volunteers

When my husband & I go on vacation one of my favorite things to do is find the local animal shelter to visit , say hello and make a small donation.... We travel up north every year and the Harvest Hills Shelter is in the town where are favorite Fair is held. The shelter always has a booth at the Fair and sells tickets for a quilt or some other prize. They have pictures of all their adoptable animals, and they have the nicest volunteers staff the booth - this year it was an older couple from Sweden Maine who showed us pictures of their 5 adopted dogs and 1 cat - we have also visited the shelter itself twice over the years - beautiful facility and I was really impressed with the cat section - indoor/outdoor kennell - fresh air!! hammocks to sleep and play in.... a great place to be a pet as you wait for your new home.
