I adopted my cat from the West Warwick Animal Shelter. They make it so relaxing for you. They let some of the cats out to play so that you actually see how the cats interact with you as well as how they interact with other cats. As I already have two cats at home, this was important to me to make sure that I chose a cat who would not only like me but who would also get along with other cats.
I could go back to see the cats as many times as I wanted and to play with the cats to see just who would be the one to choose me.
They also don't just let anyone have an animal. You have to fill out a lengthly application and they thoroughtly check it out to make sure that you will take good care of this animal. I especially liked that.
I have recommended this shelter to a number of people I know and they have come to this shelter to adopt animals from here as well.
They do a great job.
